The Beginning

Back in 2016, I saw in an online post that Nintendo would be releasing the NES Classic, which would be a console that used controllers similar to the original NES controllers, and would have 30 classic games built in. I was pretty excited, because I love those old games. I was disappointed that it would be limited to the 30 games, though, with no way to add other titles.

I was talking with a friend about this, who suggested just getting an emulator and putting it in a computer. I protested that I didn’t want to connect my computer to my tv just to play games, so he suggested using a Raspberry Pi.

And so the adventure began…
